Statement of intent

My magazine is about Digital Photography.
i will represent media language in my magazine through the use of colours and aesthetically appealing content such as photos.

I will be making a magazine that is aimed at people with a passion to learn photography.
There will be information on how to take the best photo. Some of my own picture that i have taken.
For example:

on my second page after the front cover i will be giving this information:
To start of you Digital Photography, you will need to:

  • Get a proper camera but
an iPhone camera will do. In my Photos i used an Iphone camera to show how camera choices don't effect anything

  • Don’t restrict yourself to just standing and taking photos from eye level. Get your camera up high, and down to the ground. Move to the left, move to the right.

  • It’s easy to make mistakes in photography if you aren’t careful. The best way around this is to slow down and take your time whenever possible.
  • You will also need
a location. This can be a kitchen, balcony maybe even a place outside of your house etc... My photos were taken outdoors as natural lighting is better than indoor lighting. Furthermore, my magazine will be targeted to a specific age group of 10-13 as it is stereotypically seen that at this age teens tend to get more into social media and taking photos. As well as this, the target audience is a niece audience as the magazine is being produced for a specific category of people.

           - Race

To media producers, the audience is important because without an audience there                 would be no media. It is important for them in order for them to be successful.                       Companies are set up to carry out audience research for media producers to see                   how many people would be interested.
  • What is the target audience as described in your chosen brief?
My target audience is 10-13 year olds.

INTERTEXTUALITY INFO

Lesson Objective:

K: The concept of intertextuality.
U: How the concept of intertextuality is used in media texts.
BAT: Analyse media texts using intertextuality.
CO: Use media terminology throughout.

----------------

media language research

The term Intertextuality refers to the process of creating references to any kind of media text via another media text. In other words Intertextuality essentially means for a type of media (film, television, music etc) to pay homage to another media text
Intertextuality is not always obvious. References can only be recognised if you know what  they are referring to. There are also cultural, social and linguistic limitations.
So, why do media texts use intertextuality?

Intertextuality is a literary device that creates an 'interrelationship between texts' and generates related understanding in separate works. These references are made to influence the reader and add layers of depth to a text, based on the readers' prior knowledge and understanding.

An example of this can be in Moana, when the character, Sven, from its film Frozen appeared for a brief, flashing moment or as you can see there is a picture of a monster on the wall of a hut that looks like the ice monster Elsa makes in Frozen

An example of a magazine the uses intertexuality is this:

In conclusion from learning about intertexuality i can implement it into my work by using a very well known photo that a lot the audience would know and remake it so not only do we have a common ground but it can show that if you know what your doing you can take any photo. an example of this can be these:
